Hibshman Awarded Industry 4.0 Grant to Enhance Smart Manufacturing Capabilities

Kalamazoo, MI — May 23, 2025 — Hibshman Screw Machine Products Inc. has been awarded the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) Industry 4.0 Technology Implementation Grant, a competitive program that provides up to $25,000 in matching funds to help small manufacturers adopt advanced technologies.

With this grant, Hibshman will implement Datanomix, a real-time production intelligence platform that improves process control, performance monitoring, and operational efficiency.

“We’re honored to receive the Industry 4.0 Award and excited to bring Datanomix into our facility,” said Chad Vanderbeek, Owner of Hibshman Screw Machine Products. “This technology will help us take our process control and performance to the next level, which means better outcomes for our customers and our team.”

The award was made possible with the support of Southwest Michigan First, a regional economic development organization that guided Hibshman through the application process.

The Industry 4.0 Grant is part of a broader initiative to help Michigan manufacturers adopt technologies such as automation, data analytics, and connected systems. The program offers 50% reimbursement for qualifying technology investments, up to $25,000.
